Ron's music post for the day. Drinkin about... Wait... Thinkin about ... Anyway.
Lyrics from cool song: See me Ride out of the Sunset, on your Color TV Screen.
Hey, where has all the Rock gone? Well since Guns and Hoses became Velvet Revolver, the rock scene for me has been rather bleek. However, thanks to breaks in between radio shows on Sirius I discovered a California band worth looking for. I think I have mentioned them before, but in case I haven't; Avenged Sevenfold. They have two records out and their most recent one is worthy. I have to admit I have not purchased said disc, but i am going to, because there is a ballad that makes November Rain freeze up. I won't see you Tonight. It is from their first album and it rocks, Skindread is another band to check out. They have a reggae metal thing going, and it works. Nuff Said.
Say you haven't had your Southern Fried Metal fix in awhile? Well, the Day after the Mexicans celebrate Mayo con cinco, The band Rebel Meets rebel comes out on May the 2nd. Who r they you ask? Well, they are the collabo between David allan Coe and the surviving guitarist from Pantera: Vinnie Paul. The first track, "Nothin to lose," takes you back to David Allan's heyday. Rock Guitars and Downtrodden Country stars are a force to be reckoned with.

i almost forgot.
a couple of months ago B and i went to dinner at P.F. Changs with her family. the restaurant was packed so a lot of people had to wait or leave. guess who was amongst those leaving?
eric's hero, Travis Tritt.
btw, Kenny Rogers (or one of his many clones in a 7 series BMW) shops at my local krogers.
wow, that's what it's come to...
wow, marc's hobnobbing with the celebs...i didn't know you were so cool! No celeb sitings up here in ol' Buford. Of course, did you really expect any?
dayum...do james and ron work for rolling stone? if not...he should...those were a brief editorials.
of course...anyone remember that comment he made on wvua about...what was that band called? i believe he said..."oh...they suck..."
Yes James, I do find myself on Sirius 27 alot. However, a few others of note are Hair Nation, Octane Buzzsaw, Blue Collar comedy and Maxim Radio, Lets not forget the White rapper we love to hate. eminem's Shade 45 has a Drunken Mix on Sat nights.
Taking my car through a "hands free" car wash and losing my antenna seemed tragic at the time, but i would have never gotten "Sirius" about Radio had it not happened.
